Programmed to perform 1,800 rotations per day (900 clockwise and 900 counter-clockwise), it ensures that most self-winding mechanical watches keep functioning even when not worn. Beyond the practical advantage of having a timepiece that is always on time, using the Startbox contributes to the longevity of the watch movement by ensuring the regular lubrication of its internal components.

Like all SwissKubik products, the Startbox is handcrafted in Switzerland at our Givisiez manufacture in the Canton of Fribourg by the expert hands of our passionate artisans.

All our suppliers are located within 50 km of our facility, enabling us to guarantee optimal quality while minimizing our ecological footprint.

Our winders are powered by a silent motor that is both low in magnetism and energy efficient. They boast an impressive battery life of three years with normal use, allowing for the winder to be placed inside a safe or easily relocated. Thanks to a programming system on the Masterbox and Travelbox models, the number of rotations, speed, and direction can be adjusted according to the watch they house.

Since 2017, this technology has also powered the Scatola del Tempo watch winders (wwwscatoladeltempo.com). A pioneer in the industry, Scatola del Tempo was the brand that invented the watch winder. SwissKubik is also recognized for its environmental responsibility. In line with the Swiss Made quality label and aiming to reduce our carbon footprint, all our suppliers are located within a 50-kilometer radius of our Givisiez manufacture in the Canton of Fribourg.
